CHAPTER 2: THE WORLD BEGAN TO BREAK

Elias stared at the marriage certificate.

His name.

His signature.

His life.

None of it made sense.

The air suddenly felt wrong.

The executives standing around him seemed distant.

Blurry.

Artificial.

Then one of them flickered.

Like a bad video signal.

Another disappeared entirely.

The polished atrium began to distort.

Faces melted into static.

Bodies fragmented into streams of green code.

The woman.

The child.

The CEO.

Everything started dissolving.

Elias staggered backward.

“No…”

His hands trembled.

The obsidian floor beneath him rippled like liquid glass.

The city beyond the windows vanished.

Numbers replaced buildings.

Algorithms replaced people.

Reality itself was unraveling.

Then he noticed something impossible.

His own hands were pixelating.

Skin breaking apart into fragments of data.

The atrium wasn't real.

The executives weren't real.

The merger wasn't real.

May you like

It was all a simulation.

And someone—or something—had trapped him inside it.
