CHAPTER 2: THE MESSAGE INSIDE THE NECKLACE

The jeweler slowly extended his hand.
"Give it to me."
For the first time, uncertainty appeared on the rich woman's face.
But under the eyes of dozens of witnesses, she reluctantly handed over the necklace.
The jeweler held it with extraordinary care.
Almost like he was holding a memory.
Then he turned it over.
His fingers moved toward a hidden compartment inside the clasp.
Most people would never have noticed it.
But he knew exactly where to look.
Because decades earlier, he had created it himself.
The clasp opened.
The old man stared.
Then closed his eyes.
When he opened them again, tears filled them.
"It's still there."
Nobody understood what he meant.
Customers leaned closer.
Even the employees stopped breathing.
The jeweler looked toward the poor woman.
"Your mother's name was Elena."
The woman froze.
"How do you know that?"
The old man swallowed.
"Because I made this necklace for her."
Shock rippled through the boutique.
The poor woman stared in disbelief.
The jeweler carefully read the engraving.
The words were tiny.
Almost invisible.
But they were exactly as he remembered.
"For my girls — when they are together again."
The poor woman's knees nearly gave out.
"My girls?"
The old jeweler nodded.
Then he revealed something that changed everything.
"Your mother wasn't talking about one daughter."
The room became completely silent.
"She was talking about two."
The rich woman suddenly stepped backward.
The confidence she had worn moments earlier disappeared.
May you like
Because somewhere deep inside her mind, pieces of a story she never fully understood were beginning to connect.
And she desperately didn't want them to.
