Chapter 100 - The Red Dawn Protocol

Naomi didn't dodge. She anticipated the angle of the tackle—the exact entry vector taught in Generation Nine's close-combat manual.

She dropped her center of gravity, caught Bravo's shoulders, and threw herself backward, executing an overhead sacrifice throw. Bravo flew through the air, crashing spine-first into the heavy steel casing of the satellite transmitter.

The console sparked violently, the screen cracking under the impact.

Bravo lay sprawled in the ruined electronics, coughing up thick crimson, her strength finally failing. The upload progress bar on the shattered monitor froze at 99%.

Naomi stepped over her, reaching down toward the emergency power cutoff switch beneath the main terminal. "It ends here."

Bravo looked up, her blood-slicked face twisting into a horrific, victorious grin.

"Look... at the sky, Sister," Bravo whispered, her trembling hand pointing upward into the storm.

Naomi froze.

Far above the Philadelphia skyline, piercing through the heavy rain clouds, three distinct crimson signal flares ignited over the city. A low, subterranean hum reverberated through the river channel—a secondary long-wave transmission echoing not from the boat, but from somewhere deep within the foundations of the city itself.

The shattered monitor suddenly blinked back to life, its text changing from *Terminal Uplink* to *Master Network Synchronized*.

Across the bottom of the screen, a message began scrolling in green military font:

**[BROADCAST REDIRECTED TO METROPOLITAN GRID. RED DAWN INITIATED. SLEEPER ASSETS: 312 CONFIRMED ACTIVE.]**

At that exact moment, Naomi’s tactical radio crackled with a sudden, panicked voice from Whitmore House.

"Naomi! Are you there?! Oh God, Naomi—" It was Vanessa's terrified voice, speaking over an intercepted residential line. "It's not just the maids... Vanessa's mother, the butler, the staff at the governor's mansion... their eyes have gone completely blank. They've locked the ballroom doors from the inside!"

Before Naomi could answer, the ship's cargo hold beneath her feet shuddered violently.

The hydraulic floor of the cargo bay began to slide open, revealing dozens of cryogenic transport pods rising into the amber floodlights. Inside each pod, floating in pale green stasis fluid, was another woman in a gray domestic uniform.

And one by one, their eyes snapped open.
